How to Make a Snowflake Icon in Adobe Illustrator

Open Illustrator & Create a New Document
My Illustrator Document Settings are:
- 500px Width x 500px Height
- Color Fashion: RGB
- PPI: 72 (Screen Resolution)
Create a Snowflake Icon in Illustrator Step ii:
Create Your Snowflake
- First, make sure your Smart Guides are on.
View > Smart Guides. You'll see a checkmark here if they're on.
- Now choose the Line Segment Tool from the toolbar and draw out a line in the center of the document, about halfway down.
- Draw some other, smaller line at an angle to your first line, similar so:
- With the smaller line selected, Right Click > Transform > Reflect
- In the Reverberate Popular Up, select Horizontal Axis and click Copy
- Holding Shift, drag the reflected line to the opposite side of your offset big line until information technology intersects and makes a little "V" shape.
- Select both the piffling lines, so go to Object > Group to group them together. You can also press Command/Ctrl + Grand on the keyboard.
- With the petty "V" lines selected, hold downward Shift + Option/Alt and drag down a second "Five".
- Press Command/Ctrl + D on the keyboard to echo this step until you have as many petty 5's as yous want, then elevate to select all the lines and grouping them together (Command/Ctr + G)

- Press Control/Ctrl + D six more times to repeat the rotation effectually our anchor point, resulting in a consummate snowflake.
- Now group the whole snowflake. Object > Group or utilise the keyboard shortcut, Command/Ctrl + Thousand.

I make the circle and the snowflake different colors so it's easier to run across.
- At present drag to select both the circumvolve and the snowflake.
- From the Pathfinder Carte du jour, under Shape Modes, choose Pick 2: Minus Front
- Now the area where the snowflake is has been cut out of the circle, and then it's technically transparent. In the image to a higher place, the snowflake appears white because it's on a white background. If my web log had a bluish background, the snowflake would show through as blue.
