David Agnew

David Agnew

David Agnew became Seneca'south 5th president in 2009. Prior to joining Seneca, he held leadership positions in public, private and not-profit sectors, including as Secretary to the Cabinet in the Ontario Government, Master Secretary to the Premier, President/CEO of UNICEF Canada, Principal at Digital 4Sight, Executive Vice-President and Corporate Secretary for the Credit Union Primal of Ontario and Ombudsman for Banking Services and Investments. In 1995, he was seconded to the University of Toronto'southward Massey Higher as a Senior Resident. Mr. Agnew is Chair of the Canadian Bureau for Drugs and Technologies in Health (CADTH) and Chair of Polytechnics Canada. He also serves on numerous other boards and committees, including the Canadian Ditchley Foundation Informational Lath and is a founding fellow member of Sichuan University's International Advisory Board. He is past chair of Colleges Ontario and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and former vice-chair of the Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO).


Fareed Amin

Fareed Amin

Fareed Amin is the inaugural President and Executive Managing director of the Canada-UAE Business organization Quango (CUBC). Prior to assuming this role, Mr. Amin served every bit the Senior Vice President, Public Policy, for Walton Evolution and Management, Canada; with responsibility for leading and executing the government direction strategy and public policy relations program for the Walton Group of Companies ("Walton") in Ontario. Mr. Amin has over 26 years of distinguished service in the public sector and has gained a comprehensive understanding of the legislative processes and the policy framework that guides growth related initiatives and economic opportunities within the province of Ontario. Mr. Amin held progressively responsible positions in the Government of Ontario including Deputy Minister and Assistant Deputy Minister. He holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Guyana, a Certificate in Public Administration from the University of Toronto, a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Queen'due south University and a Certificate in Leadership from the Kennedy Schoolhouse of Government, Harvard University. Mr. Amin joined Seneca's Board of Governors on Sept. 1, 2017.


Chris Bullen

Chris Bullen

William (Chris) Bullen is Manager of By-Law & Regulatory Services with the City of Markham. In 2021, he retired from the York Regional Police force (YRP) as superintendent after 33 years of service. During his career with YRP, Mr. Bullen's assignments included the Community Services Bureau; the Community Oriented Response Unit of measurement; the Criminal Investigation Agency; the Public Order Unit; the Traffic Bureau and the Uniform Recruiting Unit. He is the past president and vice-president of the Association of Black Police force Enforcers, a erstwhile lath fellow member with the Canadian Hearing Gild and campaign member for United Way of Greater Toronto. Mr. Bullen is a graduate of Carleton University, Seneca, Guelph-Humber and the Academy of Guelph, where he earned an MA in leadership. He joined Seneca'due south Board of Governors on Sept. 1, 2018.


Justin Chu

Justin Chu

Justin Chu is a fifth semester Honours Available of Commerce – Business Management student and a recipient of the Margie Bader Mentoring Leadership Award and the Stephen E. Quinlan Award for the 2020-21 bookish year. He currently serves as the President of Enactus Seneca and is the Founder and President of Seneca Flourishing Network. Mr. Chu is also a Youth Advisory Committee Member for the Alberta Quango for Global Cooperation's Together Ensemble initiative, serving every bit the Ontario representative. He joined Seneca's Board of Governors on Oct. 12, 2021 and was elected as the student representative.


Ebrahim Shafiq

As a volunteer, Mr. Ebrahim has served as Chair and Lath Director of Special Olympics Ontario, Board Director of Mackenzie Health, Board Director of Heart & Stroke Foundation, Chair of Golf Commission, IDRF, Board Trustee of United Mode of York Region, Board Trustee and Cabinet Fellow member of United Mode of Greater Toronto, and Fellow member of York Regional Police, Police Customs Advisory Council. Mr. Ebrahim joined Seneca'due south Lath of Governors on Sept. ane, 2016.


Steve Linthwaite

Steve Linthwaite

Captain Steve Linthwaite is Vice President, Flight Operations at Jazz Aviation LP, the largest regional airline in Canada, operating under the Air Canada Express brand. Captain Linthwaite has more 35 years of aviation experience having started his career equally a commercial pilot in 1985 afterward graduating from Seneca'southward Aviation and Flying Technology programme with honours. He has captained the Dash 8 and CRJ shipping types. Prior to assuming senior direction roles at Jazz, Captain Linthwaite also held leadership positions with the Air Line Pilots Association. During his tenure at Jazz, Captain Linthwaite was instrumental in founding the Jazz Aviation Pathways program, which includes 17 educational institutions and industry organizations, Seneca amid them. Captain Linthwaite is a board member of the National Airlines Quango of Canada, the Chair of the Seneca School of Aviation Program Informational Commission and the President of the Seneca Alumni Council. He joined Seneca's Board of Governors on Sept. 1, 2020.


Ellen Malcolmson

Ellen Malcolmson

Ellen Malcolmson is the Master of Ellen Malcolmson Executive Coaching Inc. Previously, she has served in senior leadership roles, including Acting CEO of St Joseph's Health Centre, CEO of the Canadian Diabetes Association, CEO of Expertech Network Installation and Senior Vice President Operations at Bell Canada. Ms. Malcolmson has served on the boards of the Unity Wellness Network, the Ontario Hospital Clan, GO Transit, McMaster University, the Shaw Festival and Junior Achievement. She has chaired the boards of St. Joseph's Wellness Centre and Women'south Habitat of Etobicoke. She is a member of the McMaster University's Alumni Hall, the International Coach Federation, the Found of Corporate Directors and the International Women's Forum. Ms. Malcolmson holds an honours bachelor of arts caste in French and political science from McMaster University and earned an Associate Certified Double-decker designation from the International Coaching Federation. She joined Seneca'south Lath of Governors on Sept. 1, 2020.


Maria May

Maria May

Maria May is the Dean for the Faculty of Applied Arts and Wellness Sciences, and the Campus Master at Seneca's King and Yorkgate campuses. A registered nurse with more than 30 years' experience in different aspects of nursing, instruction and administration, Ms. May joined Seneca's Board of Governors on Sept. one, 2021 and was elected as the administrative staff representative.


Kimberly Moran

Kimberly Moran

Kimberly Moran is the CEO of Children'south Mental Health Ontario (CMHO), representing the province'southward largest provider of kid and youth mental health services. She serves on the board of Canadian Mental Health Association Toronto and previously contributed to the North York General Infirmary and SIM-one Simulation Healthcare Network boards. She is a member of the Premier's Council on Improving Wellness Care and Ending Hallway Medicine. Prior to CMHO, she held positions every bit special advisor to the Dean of Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, acting CEO and chief operating officer at UNICEF Canada and senior finance positions with TD Depository financial institution and Ernst & Young. She is a Chartered Professional Accountant and holds a B. Comm in marketing/accounting from the University of British Columbia. She joined Seneca's Board of Governors on Sept. i, 2019 and is currently serving equally Vice-Chair.


Peivand Pirouzi

Peivand Pirouzi

Peivand Pirouzi is a Professor and Program Co-ordinator in Seneca'due south Honours Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Direction. He has been instruction since 1991 at various Canadian postsecondary institutions, including the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM), the Academy of Montreal, the Academy of Sherbrooke and Humber College. Dr. Pirouzi also served as manager of pharmaceutical clinical projects at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals Canada (Pfizer Canada) and held positions in pharmacovigilance and drug safety at ApoPharma. He was a board member at the Persica Management & Quality Association of Canada and a group career mentor at Welcome Eye Clearing Services and North York Community House. Dr. Pirouzi holds a PhD in physiology from the University of Sherbrooke Medical School and a M.Sc. in biological sciences from UQAM. He joined Seneca's Board of Governors on Sept. 1, 2019 as the elected kinesthesia representative.


Jerin Raj

Jerin Raj

Jerin Raj is a Technical Back up Technologist in Seneca's Information Engineering science Services (ITS) department. Prior to this role, he was working as a software engineer, supporting mainframe technologies for several multi-national companies, including Macy's and the Hudson's Bay Visitor. Mr. Raj teaches technology applications in Seneca Business. He also takes office in various volunteer activities that support international students, while helping to create platforms for them to network and adjust to life in Canada. Mr. Raj holds a BTech in informatics from Mahatma Gandhi University in Republic of india and is pursuing an MBA from Liverpool Business concern Schoolhouse. He joined Seneca's Board of Governors on Sept. 1, 2019 and was elected as the support staff representative.


Alim Remtulla

Alim Remtulla

Alim Remtulla is a strategy professional person who has led initiatives across the public, private and not-turn a profit sectors. Currently, Mr. Remtulla works for Telus Corporation, where he leads the Marketing and Sales Insights team. In add-on, he held brand marketing, product management and innovation roles in the consumer packaged goods sector. Mr. Remtulla also teaches at the University of Toronto and serves equally the Vice Chair of the Toronto Public Library. He joined Seneca'southward Board of Governors on Feb. 17, 2022.


Ashif Somani

Ashif Somani

Ashif Somani is a retired partner of BDO Canada LLP and has more than than 30 years of experience providing inspect, management and business advisory services. Mr. Somani first joined Seneca'south Board of Governors in 2008. He served two terms, including 3 years as chair of the Finance and Assistants Committee. He re-joined the board on Sept. ane, 2018 and is currently serving equally Chair


Winston Stewart

Winston Stewart

Winston Stewart is the President and CEO of Wincon Security, an organization he founded in 1992 after graduating from Seneca'due south Law Enforcement Program. Starting with the humble showtime of one customer and 1 employee, Wincon is now a multimillion-dollar arrangement, with more than 250 employees and hundreds of clients globally. Mr. Stewart serves on numerous boards and committees, including the Bridge Markham, the Seneca Alumni Council, MTCC 891, YMCA of Greater Toronto, the Blackness Business and Professional Association (BBPA), 2010 G20 Elevation Toronto and Metropolis of Markham Cycling & Pedestrian committee. He has received the Metropolis of Markham – Outstanding Contributions & Service Accolade, the Seneca Distinguished Alumni Award, the Markham Board of Trade Concern Splendid Award and the BBPA Harry Jerome Laurels – Young Entrepreneur Award (2006), and he is a past nominee for the Premier's Honor for Higher Graduates. Mr. Stewart joined Seneca'due south Board of Governors on Sept. 1, 2020.


Belinda Tang

Belinda Tang

Belinda Tang is a strategic business adviser with industry experience in information technology and professional services. Ms. Tang was previously with IBM, where she had an international career in Canada, the United States and Asia as role of IBM's global Hour operating team, which developed HR policies and strategic management in more than 170 countries. She has served on the Markham Stouffville Hospital board and is currently a lath member for Habitat for Humanity for Greater Toronto. Ms. Tang holds an MA in human resources direction from York University and a B.Comm in commerce and finance from the Rotman School of Direction at the University of Toronto. She joined Seneca's Board of Governors in September 2016 and is currently serving as Vice-Chair.


Alice Thomas

Alice Thomas

Alice Thomas is the Chief Digital Technology Officer at Sun Life Fiscal. She joined Lord's day Life in 2007 and has more than 30 years of experience in technology, the last 25 years focused on digital strategy and solutions. In her electric current role, Ms. Thomas is responsible for global technology enablement of the company's digital strategies. Previously, she was vice president, consulting services at CGI and has also held senior Information technology leadership roles working for GE Upper-case letter, Majestic Oil and the federal government's department of transportation. Ms. Thomas was a board member with Microskills, a United Way member agency and is currently a member of the alumni advisory lath with the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Engineering. She holds a B.Sc. in information science from the University of Ottawa and an MBA from the Rotman School of Direction at the University in Toronto. Ms. Thomas joined Seneca's Board of Governors on Sept. i, 2019.
