Is It Worth It to Get Skyrim Special Edition

If your computer can run it then of course, it's cheaper than buying the DLC for for the orginal version.

I never bought this got it for free since owned old version. Its worth it if you want a better engine (64 bit) and use mods otherwise not worth it.

I would ask yourself why you didn't play it much the first time. This version is not likely to change said reason, (it does run better though in its vanilla state) though generally speaking this would be a good purchase as mentioned with the imporved engine and DLC.

i paid $60 for the ps4 version of the remaster. And it was worth it. It looks great (other than characters), and it gave my girls a chance to play a modded version of the game. My computer version has a ton of adult mods tweens should not see. As for the computer version, i don't know. If you are happy with Skyrim that you have, you can wait for a while. Eventually, you will want to switch when more mods come out for the new edition. And especially if the Creation club creates some incredible mods.

For this price, yes.
I got it for free myself but this version runs a lot better than the regular one.
Downside is this version doesn't have SKSE so a lot of mods won't work (most importantly for me: SKYUI). For the full price I'd probably not buy it myself unless I didn't have any of the DLC's.

You're welcome.

I just bought this version today after sinking over 600 hours into the original with no dlc and Id say its definately worth the 20 dollars or euros or whatever. I havent experienced any of the dlc content yet but the game is just smoother and looks a lot nicer. A much better gaming experience from the first one definately. Id say buy it.

It's worth even for CDN$ 60.00.
That's because I (like many others) acknowledge the cost of creating a video game and despise the fact that there are people who yaw for sales because they're not willing to pay full price on a daily basis.

Thanks for the input guys. I ended up passing on this. Raubrey was right. I stopped playing for whatever reason so I think I may just mod the snot out of the original at some point.

I ended up spending my budjet on 3 games this time around. Wolcen, Aragami, and Deus EX MD. Pretty happy with Wolcen and Aragami. Waiting on Dues Ex MD download to see if I pulled off a hat trick on getting good games this sale.

Ok, so I bought this game when it first came out. I neverfinished it but I think i was close. Anyway, I didnt get any of the DLC and I dont think I did a crazy amount of side quests.

For people who have both versions, are you happy you bought this? Is it worth another $20.00 in your opinion?

If you never finished the original game - you're not going to finish this one either. If the original game didn't do anything for you, this one isn't either - BECAUSE ITS THE EXACT SAME GAME with slightly improved textures.

And I got this one for free because I owned the old one - and I wouldn't have paid even $20 for it otherwise.
